4.2 Tumour conference simulation for surgeons

Duration: 1,5 days

 

Course objective: Fundamental positioning of surgery in tumour conferences.Treating solid tumours increasingly includes multimodal treatment concepts consisting of surgery, chemotherapy and locoregional tumour ablation.
In this course, evidential treatment options for hepato-pancreatobiliary tumours are examined. Moreover, different approaches for personal, individual treatment methods will be discussed. The acquired know-how and skills will be trained with interdisciplinary experts during interactive tumour board simulations using selected case examples.

 

Major target group: Oncological surgeons. This course can be adapted to individual needs of hospitals.

Practical section

  • Practical exercises using a large animal model; cholecystectomy, splenectomy, sigma resection

Registration Conditions:

Registration is compulsory. Cancellations recieved up to two weeks prior to the event date will be charged with a processing fee of 25,- Euros. After this date or in case of non-attendance, we will calculate the entire conference fee. Registration as well as cancellation must be in writing.
