Prof. Max Seidensticker

Scientific Director

DAfMT's scientific director appointed university professor:

PD Dr. med. Max Seidensticker, the scientific director of the Deutsche Akademie für Mikrotherapie (DAfMT), was appointed Professor of image-guided microtherapy at the medical faculty of the university of Magdeburg. Prof. Seidensticker was born in Hamburg and is only 38 years old. He has been working at the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of the University Medical Center Magdeburg since 2006, most recently as a senior physician. Mr. Seidensticker habilitated in radiofrequency local ablation [KA1] of liver tumour and is already renowned in the field of interventional radiology. In 2014, the Presidium of the DAfMT appointed Mr. Seidensticker as the scientific director of the DAfMT. As such, he has taken the development of advanced training in the field of microtherapy and DAfMT’s focus on preclinical research to the next level.

May-July 2016: Work shadowing course „Medical Imaging“ for Siemens employees

For the fifth time, we organise the further training course for Siemens employees. Due to its adaption to the participants’ special needs, this course concept turned out to be a tremendous success. A lot of exciting course contents offer insight into medical imaging from theoretical background up to daily routines at a hospital.
