60th anniversary of University Medicine in Magdeburg On Sunday, September 7th 2014, our cooperation partner, the University Hospital Magdeburg celebrates its 60th anniversary with a lot of exciting events and presentations. The Deutsche Akademie für Mikrotherapie takes part as well! You can find us in building 60a, floor -1, department for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

19.-20.06.2014 Hands-on Workshop: GEP-NEN diagnostics and therapy monitoring

We are happy to announce that a new interdisciplinary training course communicating the treatment of patients with gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) neuroendocrine neoplasia (NEN) has been held on June 19th and 20th of this year. This new course offered discussions with experts, TED case studies as well as a practical hands-on-workshop including treatment monitoring (SPECT_CT, PET-CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Radioembolisation).

95. Röntgenkongress (congress of radiology) in Hamburg 28.-31.05.2014

For the first time, we have been present at the congress of radiology where we showed our entire training course programme. A lot of visitors appreciated the academy’s offer to extend their own spectrum through our practical and small hands-on-workshops and to get a disease-centred impression and thereby being able to orientate themselves more economically.

Deutscher Chirurgiekongress (German surgical congress) in Berlin 25.-28.03.2014 

For the first time, we represented our academy on the German surgical congress in Berlin where we introduced our new surgical training course programme. We received a high number of registrations, especially for our Artis Zeego workshop for vascular surgeons and our master class course for the interdisciplinary, minimally-invasive treatment of patients with hepatocelluar carcinoma. At the same time, a range of new industrial partners demonstrated their interest in cooperating with the academy.

March 2014: New work shadowing course for employees of the KUKA company

On Thursday, 20.03.2014, we again provided insight into our daily clinical practice. During our field training, the KUKA employees were able to witness how we help our patients with modern diagnosis and therapies.

March 2014 - May 2014: Medical Imaging - the further training course for Siemens employees takes place again

The training course for employees of the company Siemens is taking place for the second time in the following weeks. The successful course concept dealing with medical imaging was particularly created for Siemens employees and starts on Monday, 17.03.2014 in Magdeburg.

January 2014: The Deutsche Akademie für Mikrotherapie is exhibitor at the IROS 2014 in Salzburg, Austria.

This year, we again were present at the IROS (Interventional radiological Olbert symposium) during the days of January 16th - 18th.
